Jolly Farmer's provincially approved composting yard showing windrows of compost in the making. Three wetland cells protect the environment by caring for seepage. Native vegetation has been planted around the perimeter of each cell to aid in the process.
Jolly Farmer compost is made following the principles taught by the Lübkes, world renown compost experts from Austria. We utilize their "controlled microbial composting" technology. In keeping with their methods, our compost is made in smaller sized windrows that are covered with fleeces, which facilitates retention of valuable nutrients. Well made compost is an excellent source of biology, plant nutrients, and organic matter. It is a coarser product than earthworm castings and is less expensive, making it more economical to use where large volumes are needed. Recommended for golf course fairways, construction of new golf courses, farm fields, flower beds, lawns, etc.
REGULAR THERMAL COMPOST
Good all-around compost for areas that need a bacterial or protozoa boost and for crops that favor higher bacterial levels or have higher nitrogen requirements. Examples : vegetable gardens, flower beds, farm fields, golf courses, lawns, etc.
BARK COMPOST
Good for areas where you need to boost the fungal levels and for fungal loving crops. Examples : perennials, shrubs, blueberries, etc.
