Nephrolepis biserrata MACHO - broad, dark green foliage with an open habit and rather leathery leaves. Useful in the landscape or as a house plant. Can be grown in wetter conditions than other ferns. Best for 6" and larger pots. Fast Grower.
Nephrolepis cordifolia SWORD FERN - fronds are tough and leathery, with thick upright habit. Attractive, forest green foliage can also be used as cut greens in the florist trade. Fast growing. Under low light conditions, habit is more trailing. Good for all pot sizes. Cold hardy to 25 degrees F. Very fast grower.
Nephrolepis exaltata BOSTON BLUE BELL - the most popular Boston type in Europe. Fast growing and very uniform. Tight compact habit, making it excellent for mass production. Good for 3" - 12" pots. Fast grower.
