These worms, often referred to as European Nightcrawlers (Euros), are some of the larger red worms you can purchase and work excellently for fishing. They are raised indoors, so are available all year long. Their length of 2.5-3.0 inches makes them ideal for the standard sized hooks. Tougher than the Canadian nightcrawler, they are a better choice in many ways even though they are a shorter worm. And they are great for ice fishing as they remain active on the hook in cold water. |

We have raised these Euros side by side with red wigglers and found the Euros to be less temperamental, to handle stress better, and to tolerate more of a temperature range. In addition, the Euros are great dual purpose worms...ie. fishing and composting.
